Análisis - Product Description
Elvis' heart never strayed far from the country music he grew up with, and these are his own finest country performances: For the Good Times; Green, Green Grass of Home; I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry; Pieces of My Life; Funny How Time Slips Away; I Can't Stop Loving You; Kentucky Rain; Always on My Mind , and more.

- Yet another country collection

Not to be confused with his outstanding 1971 "Elvis Country (I'm 10,000 Years Old)" album, this is yet another collection of some of Elvis' country songs, mostly from the 70's. It does not include any of his early classic songs from the 50's. The packaging is kind of skimpy too, not much for liner notes or pictures. It could have been a more attractive collection if they had included the remixed versions of "Always On My Mind" and "Loving Arms" from the early 1980's. Both versions have been out of print for years and are difficult to come by. The songs and performances here are great (hey it's Elvis), but all things considered I like his "Great Country Songs" CD or the 2 CD collection "The Country Side of Elvis" better. They provide a more comprehensive collection of Elvis country songs, from his early recordings for Sun right on through the 70's.

- Elvis '69 to '76 Country

There ae many Presley collections of "Country" material, so this has some value as a nice collectible in a series including "Rock", "Inspirational", etc.

AS the '70s Box did not cover *all* the '70s recordings and the individual albums are not always easy to come by, this CD will feature, for many, some unusual cuts.

Haven't played most of these recordings in their entirety for years and so I quite enjoyed hearing "Tomorrow Never Comes", a great, building, baritone-tenor exposition, which Roy Orbison fans would have no problem with (in the "Running Scared" tradition); hearing "Funny How Time Slips Away", a genuine classic emerging from that "Marathon Session" in Nashville in 1970. At that time, Elvis was secured back as the King of Pop: the 1968-69 cahnge of course worked out beautifully. Elvis is relaxed yet never falls back into that lazy crooning technique of the early '60s.

I think that "Snowbird", "For The Good Times", and "Goodtime Charlie's Got the Blues" should have been made way for "Lovin' Arms", "There Goes My Everything", and

even something like "There's Gold In The Mountains" from "Kissin' Cousins" - a lively movie cut, actually recorded partially in Nashville!

Another disappointment is in the use of the original mix of "There's A Honky Tonk Angel" when a special version was made available around 1969 on an edition of "Our Memories Of Elvis" - solitary Elvis worked very well on that theme.

- I Love Elvis Country

No mateer love songs, gospedl songs, rock, blues, country music et cetera, Elvis mastered in every kind of style and interpreted differently from every other country music singer even in exactly the same song, say Blue Eyses Cry in the Rain, Green Green Grass of Home, and so on, His unique singing style as well as exceptional voice enabled his songs more accessible and touching to human hearts, He is more than the king of rock-roll; to me he is and will always be the king forever.
