this is what i have been waiting for from E-40! He still the front runner for the Bay and i love it. Theres everything in the Day Shift...bangers, slappers and slumpers all of the above. I highly recommend this CD...shoot i recommend both of the CD's. Personally i like the night shift better but either one you will not be disappointed with.
This is the fire the west need to be back in the game, Lyrics and real life punch lines that make you think twice. The beat are fast because his flow is perfected to sickness level I love not buying a bootleg copy of this one for show
Back In Business starts things off with a nice Ganster Rap intro to get you into things. Then you get into Bitch one of my favoirte new songs featuring Too Short. You have to hear this song to belive it. Later on another favorite of mine is here to enjoy I Get Down featuring B-Legit. All in all this is a very hard hitting CD. Make sure to put the volume up and there is no need to do anything but just press play. Also make sure to continue the 40iness by picking up Revenue Retrievin: Night Shift.
To be honest my expectations were probably a bit too high when I saw this album. I was expecting him to grow his style and take advantage of better production technology to make a masterpiece much like Lynch did with Dinner and a Movie. This is really just an average E-40 Album. If you really love E-40, you might love this album. If you're like me and just love the best work done by E-40, then you might like a couple of tracks at best. I didn't hear anything that compared to classics like Flashin or Sideways.
This CD was a gift for my husband who its from the bay and swears by this mans music! Great price!!
