This cd may contain some of Dolly's hits but it is far from being the definitive collection of her career. There are better and cheaper greatest hits compilations available.

For my money, Heartsongs: Live from Home is my candidate for best overview of her career. Recorded live at Dollywood, it ranges from country pop to bluegrass. You get Dolly talking between songs and telling stories that relate to the songs. She does cover tunes and original material which give a depth and clarity to Dolly's public personality and her deep devotion to faith and family. The sound quality is exceptional for a live recording. It may not contain her biggest hits but it does represent Dolly at her zenith.
