- Golden Years

This cd was originally issued as the Golden Streets of Glory album in 1970. I can't fathom the reasoning behind the new cover which looks, from the photo above, totally unrelated to the music. And odd. The original album was illustrated with a picture of a pensive, big hair Dolly gazing out of a window to the Beyond, and she's rarely looked finer. That's a more fitting cover, because she's rarely sung more beautifully than on this album. I've been trying to decide on a favorite track, but I can't: they are all great. I cannot comment on the inspirational aspects of her performance, but her singing is sublime. If God could make me sing like this I'd believe in him too.

I Believe is a cd to treasure: I've listened to it hundreds of times, and each time concluded that this is the most flawless of her many fine albums.

- Interesting spotlight on Dolly's early achievements

This CD is worth listening too. Dolly sings with such conviction and her voice is full of emotion especially on 'I believe'. I wish RCA would release other albums such as'The Bargain Store' (1975), 'Jolene' (1974), 'All I Can Do' (1976) on CD. These albums deserve to be heard again.

- Great gospel

This is one of Dolly Parton's older albums, but it's one of my favorites. I love her gospel sound. Pure Dolly! Would advise anyone, who loves gospel with a sweet country sound,to buy it.

- Great Early 70's Country Gospel

Dolly did a great job with her GOLDEN STREETS OF GLORY album. This is of course an altered version of that LP, with some songs missing but it's still good. These are some of the greatest inspirational songs out there! Great music @ a Great price!

- Not Quite What I Expected.

Unless you are into the old time country gospel music this CD is not for you. Not what you would expect from Dolly Parton today. I love Dolly's voice but wish she had a more modern gospel CD that is more of her today style. A little more upbeat! I gave the CD away and the person I gave it to who is a very southern Baptist type, is not even that crazy about it.
