Análisis - Product Description
Australian pressing. This CD has a wonderful assortment of some songs of Dolly's that are hard to find on her CD's, so this is a great additon to a Dolly collection. Including the last track 'The Way I See You'. 16 total tracks. BMG. 2002.

- A beautiful love-song compilation

Emotions run high on this beautiful compilation. Dolly Parton's love songs are some of the best ever performed, thanks to her wonderfully soothing vocals and accompanying instrumentals. "Here You Come Again" will always be my favorite Dolly single, but there are many other ballads on this CD guaranteed to tug the heartstrings (especially "You Are"). Go ahead and give it a listen; you won't be disappointed.

- Just Stop This

Every year BMG releases yet another Dolly Parton compilation that contains "Here You Come Again," "Islands in the Stream," "Old Flames," etc. etc. Meanwhile countless number of songs and original albums that have NEVER been released on CD sit gathering dust in their vaults. Last year it was "The Essential Dolly Parton." The year before it was "The Ultimate Dolly Parton." The year before that it was "RCA Country Legends." The year before that it was...well, you get the idea.

This year it is a CD called "Love Songs." It contains, "Here You Come Again," "Islands in the Stream," "Old Flames," etc. etc. Meanwhile countless number of songs and original albums that have NEVER been released on CD sit gathering dust in the BMG vaults.

I don't know if it is just simple laziness on BMG's part or a flat out contempt for the audience, but either way it does not reflect well on BMG. Why is it we have to look to Australia for a first rate compilation of early Parton (the wonderful import "Mission Chapel Memories")? Maybe BMG can keep the rights to the songs it keep recycling and let another label that will have more respect for Parton's legacy have the rights to the songs they are ignoring. I won't be holding my breath, but I've given up all hope so dreaming is all I have left.
