With her beautifully clear and unmannered, yet soulful, voice, Dionne Warwick became the perfect instrument for the compositions of '60s pop kings Burt Bacharach and Hal David. - BEWARE! - These ARE NOT the original versions.
I bought this thinking (who wouldn't have?)that these were the original
recordings. NOT! These are remakes of the original classics. Sure it's
Dionne singing but these new versions are in NO WAY as good as the originals. I feel the title is deceptive. It SHOULD be noted on the cover that these are NOT the classics we've all come to know and love over the years. If you are into the old Dionne Warwick classics then this
is NOT the CD for you - stay away! You'll be as disappointed as I was.
Here is a definite example of where "if it ain't broke don't fix it" should have been adhered to.
