- Great Recording but N American Buyers Be Advised

Comes with two disks, a CD (which has the album's 11 original multi-channel and two-channel SACD tracks) and a DVD with the extra tracks, video footage, etc. Multi-channel SACD recording is phenomenal, but DVD is in PAL, not NTSC format, so make sure your dvd player is region-free before buying this (my PS3 plays DVDs, but only those with N American region NTSC format, so with this disk I get a "does not support PAL playback" error message). In retrospect, this should have been obvious to me as it is a UK import, but it's still disappointing! Maybe Amazon can add "PAL video format - European region DVD playback only" or something to the description.

- Worth it for the documentary alone

The real bonus here is the 55 minute documentary taking in the 1985-86 period spanning from Shake The Disease through to Singles 81-85 and right through to the Black Celebration and the subsequent highly successful tour, and th eitroduction of Anton corbijn to the scene. It is great to see Alan included in these documentaries. I was especially happy to hear that he did try (unsuccessfully) to have the It's Called A Heart single and Fly on The Windscreen B side "flipped around". A very interesting time for DM as this album probably represents their "link" from their early "naive" years and their latter "stadium rocker" years. Lots of great home video footage of the band - with lots of smiles and laughter.

- Good product, if it works.

The album has lots of great songs and the DVD has some interesting material. Its a real shame that the industry added the region codes to DVDs, because not everyone has access to region free players. I had to change the region of an old player of mine to play the DVD, but it was worth the added effort.
