I am a big fan of David Arkenstone; I've been following his progress since 1989. This is not the atmospheric tone-poems that an Arkenstone fan is used to. It was the soundtrack for a decidedly off-kilter futureworld-type movie (and he wasn't even credited for it at the end, at least I couldn't find his name anywhere; the movie - same title - was so bad, maybe it was his choice). The cd opens with a very martial-sounding let's-go-get-the-bad-guys theme, and I like that piece, but most of the rest of it sounds like what it is - background. I usually write to Arkenstone's music, but this is far from his best.
