- This is a must have Christmas album

This album contains some of the best renditions of x-mas songs that I have ever heard. I first heard music by Arkenstone on a Narada christmas album, and I liked his track so much, that I sought out a christmas album done solely by him. This album is GREAT. I would recommend it to everyone.

A sense of wonder reserved for the beholder, kinda like the moment before a present is unwrapped or the whisper of snowflakes tumbling through the frozen branches. The artist`s rare ability to capture the celebratory substance of classic compositions{ now those two words usually instigate a click away for me too, don`t do it} with dramatic and orginal changes to melody, is unparalleled.Multi-layering of synthesized and sampled instruments and voices upon tweaked arrangements should inspire modern-millennial-mirth-makers long after the Tannebaum stops turning brown.Merrily Mix~1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,and 12~no bahhumbugs here ~ Post Script: This disc is as multi-generational as it gets for those in the know.Glad to see Amazon with the offering,as it`s hard to find even in Milwaukee,WI.***buyit*saveit*shareit*giveit*donateittothelibary***

- A nice album

Enchantment: A Magical Christmas, released in 1997, is the tenth full-length album from David Arkenstone. Of the album's 12 tracks, seven are gathered from various multi-artist Christmas compilations from the Narada label, and five were especially recorded for Enchantment: A Magical Christmas. The musicianship and sound quality of this album are gratifying. My favorite compositions are the serene, pretty "Do You Hear What I Hear," the sprightly, fun "Overture," and the stately, resplendent "Silver Bells." The CD foldout includes an essay and a photo of Arkenstone; this same photo is also on the back of the CD jewel case. The disc is just over 55 minutes. I am impressed with Arkenstone's interpretations of these Christmas pieces, which are rich in sound--in addition, I enjoy listening to this album throughout the year. Actually, I rate this piece of work 3.5 stars. Arkenstone is a gifted artist, and I recommend this album.

- Favorite Christmas Album

This was my favorite Christmas album as a child and I recently rediscovered it. Highly recommended. Beautiful adaptions of traditional songs.

- eh...too new agey

Although I like some new age music, I guess it boils down to, I'm more of a classical Christmas music person. This is just too over-the-top new agey for me.
