- Arkenstone on an ambitious musical world tour.

Citizen Of Time is early David Arkenstone, but his potential was evident on this album, released in 1990. Not only is this a musical world tour, but as the title indicates, a trip back through time as well. Ambitious, to be sure, and the music doesn't always measure up, but there are many nice moments. "Explorers" continues to be one of my all-time favorite Arkenstone pieces. A nice early effort.

- Citizen of Time

Just wanted to share a little history. I bought this on cassette when it was first released back in 1990. Truly an album for that Journey to another place. Probably my favorite David Arkenstone album!! My favorite track "Explorers", this song just gets so big, you really feel like at the end of the song you are going up to Heaven. I have this on CD,Cassette and on Vinyl. Truly a remarkable album!!

- GLOBETROTTING SYNTHESIZER

This is Arkenstone's 1990 offering of hravily synthed compositions. He plays all the tracks, using various synthesizers and for the most part, succeeds. An almost concepiual album, Arkenstone presents a global journey basking in the mysticism of ancient lore. The music is cinematic and evocative, and does create an aura of adventure that is simultaneously relaxing.

I enjoy CITIZEN but wish the "flute" was used less to provide more diversity. Arkenstone is indeed talented, having a strong sense of melody without resorting to improvisation that occurs in other New Age recordings. Recommended as an example of more accessible genre music.
