Análisis - Product Description
Dave Matthews Band treated festival-goers to a super charged, electric set as the closer of the inaugural Mile High Music Festival outside Denver, Colorado in July 2008. Refreshed from a week-long respite midway through the annual summer tour, Dave Matthews Band delivered an incendiary two and a half hour performance, including new covers unveiled earlier in the summer. Highlights of the Live at Mile High release include 'Jimi Thing', which features a commanding solo by Boyd and Dave's entertaining scatting. Carter's thundering drum solo on 'Two Step', and Tim Reynolds' solos on 'You Might Die Trying' and 'Proudest Monkey' are not to be missed.

- Better quality sound than the show itself.

We were at the show and the sound quality of this venue was terrible. So I am amazed how well this album turned out. I have seen DMB a bunch of times and this by far the best show I have seen them put on, despite the sound issues. So naturally I was very excited to see this album was out!

- Dave Snuck One In

I did not realize that there was going to be a new live retail cd (DMB has been selling their lives shows on their website) until I saw it while I was doing Christmas shopping. Like any DMB fan I realized I had to have it. I have all the albums and I suppose this one does the best job of providing both the Old / Classics and the New Songs (which dont seem to as raw or emitional). The treat is two songs that are covers that to my knowledge are the first time played on a live retail DMB cd.

All in all the quality is way better than a bootleg which with a little effort you could most likely find and the cd does a good job capturing the show.

This will give any DMB a quick fix until the new studio album is released in the Spring.

- My Personal Favorite DMB Album!

This album really gets me going, much like all DMB music does. However, this one in particular is special. I have all the popular live albums (Central Park, Chicago, Red Rocks, Luther College, etc.) but the professionalism combined with authenticity in Live at Mile High just does it for me. Listen to Two-Step, Jimi Thing, and Ants Marching on this album, and I know you'll understand. Everything is just so well executed!

- my first time with Dave

Im a virgin when it comes to Dave's music...I heard him play for the World Peace Concert on television with Whoopi Goldberg hosting the event and was in the entralled with his music and lyrics.

- Well done Dave Matthews

As much as i love a DMB studio album you can't beat a live recording of the band. Hearing the band live is the way to truly enjoy them. Live at Mile High is a great live album for all types of DMB fans. This concert was an amazing show that included some of DMB biggest songs(two step, ants marching, stay, Louisiana Bayou, too much) as well as a few newer jams(Eh hee and cornbread) and DMB suprised us with two great cover songs(sledgehammer and thank you). This is the first album to be released by the band without saxophonist LeRoi Moore and the first to feature Bela Fleck and the Flecktones saxophonist Jeff Coffin for the entire set. Its sad knowing LeRoi wont be back but Coffin really fills his stop nicely. Tim Reynolds also played with the band the whole tour so you'll hear him rip so nice guitar solos on You Might Die Trying and Proudest Monkey. The only problem i have with DMB is that they're releasing so many different live albums as well as live tracks with the same songs on it. So i am anxiously waiting for their new album to be released to get a new set songs throw into the mix. Overall though great album to own and is a must buy for all you DMB concert goers out there.
