I like this CD quite a bit, almost as much as Bird @ the Onyx,
although not as much, probably due to the modest audio quality
and lack of historical context, as compared to the Onyx CD,
in which Thelonious Monk made his first appearance with Bird.
Even better than this CD, is Bird @ Birdland, but this CD is
worth having, nevertheless, for the overall Bird performance,
and rarities in the material, if not for countering the relatively short time span of Bird's career.
There is definitely exciting, fast playing with all the right
musical notes, with a tight band, at that.
