- Bootsy's Back from a long hiatus.

What's Bootsy's Doing, was a comeback disc for one of the greatest bass players that ever lived. He was becoming a popular musician again so with the help of Malcolm Mc Laren and others, he got back into the studio to record some strange and weird pop music. A hybrid of rock, funk and a little spacy dubs. Samples and even a vocal apperance from Malcolm McLaren and the Atomic Dog himself George Clinton. Pure 80's music. Bootsy would later come into his own when he started to colaborate with BucketHead, Bill Laswell and Bernnie Worrell.

Highly recommended for Boosty Collins fans.

- Funky Bootsy!

I must say I was really blown out of my mind when I heard this funky stuff. It's like the funk still is standing strong, cool! I don't know what's your opinion, but I can't get enough of this funky feeling!!

- What a Freakin Funkin Comeback "HEAR THIS"

One listen and EVERYTHING changes!! This is the only album that I enjoyed from BEGINNING TO END!! Bootsy went on a long vacation and gathered himself and finely tuned his space bass and PRODUCED THIS FINE ALBUM! After 6 years of silence check this out. This was not a continuation of CASPER nor was there any P-Funk. This was WILLIAM BOOTSY COLLINS at his finest!! The music on this album were not just good, but totally refined and polished!! I thought that ULTRA WAVE was my favorite album by BOOTSY but this one is TIED as my favorite!!! "Party on Plastic" is the FUNK favorite but you should check out the 12inch version (if you can find it). "Subliminal Seduction" made me shake my booty HARD!! "LEAKIN" was excellent with George Clinton but what impressed me more and made me buy like 10 copies of this album was BOOTSY's heart and soul really came out on DANCE EASY "Love Song" and "I Wanna Be Kissin You" and his inner self really shines on "Yo Mama Loves Ya". This was BOOTSY in the 90's when new jack ruled but BOOTSY did not SELL OUT and made an INCREDIBLE set of jams here! He even goes vintage here with "Save Whats Mine For Me". BOOTSY sounded HAPPY and CONTENT and did not have to impress anyone!! "A SURE FIRE ADD to my collection!!!

- Oah you undera body attack baba!

Whats bootsy doin is interesting beacuse it is his return to music after his break after his single Body slam in 83. This by no means is saying he was absent from music, he was very present on all of Geroge Clinton's 80s solo albums and helped on the 84 shelved album by the way of the drum. So basically what im saying is that it the return of boosty. This album has samples from Bootsy's previous songs but is mostly orginal. Songs like Love Song, Save Whats Mine for Me, Love Gun, Subliminal Sudection are some of my favorites. Even the song Race to the Egg (a ode to makin babies) is banging (no pun intened). This along with George's Cinderella Theory or P-funks last testiment for the 80 and even though aren't as through and powerful as their past work is still lovable and worth checking out. Funk on ya mothers
