- Best of Bobby Vinton

There are several best of compilations by Bobby Vinton available in the market, they mainly included his songs from the "Epic" year, but this 2006 Sony/BMG release is the only one the original version of "My Melody of love" is available (The one in the "Curb" release of "Bobby Vinton's Greatest Hits" is an alternative version with a slightly different intro). The songs in this CD include :

1. Blue velvet

2. Roses are red (My love)

3. Blue on blue

4. Take good care of my baby

5. Sealed with a kiss

6. Mr. Lonely

7. Blue moon

8. This guy's in love with you

9. There! I've said it again

10. My melody of love

Even though there are only 10 songs here, there's no filler. All his 4 No.1 hits are included plus the hard to find "Blue Moon", which I first heard in the movie "An American Werewolf in London" and tried many years to look for it. As this is an import CD in US (a mid price series here in Hong Kong), it is a bit pricey, but if you want to get all his top ten hits, this one is hard to beat.

P.S. I am still looking forward for the release of his 1974 "Melodies of love" album, which contains "Dick and Jane" and his beautiful remake of ONJ's "I honestly love you".
