I don't know about you but when I put on a Christmas CD I want it to make me smile and make me feel "christmasy"; Kissin' Christmas also makes me pleasantly nostalgic. It's not too loud or brash and it's not too sad or slow or sleepy. It's a five-star disc with the flavor of fifties and the sound quality of the millenium. You know it's 'old' but it's as good as ever. Someone recommended me "Phil Spector"'s "A Christmas Gift to You" (50s-ish inspired) and I purchased it and was sorely disapointed by the horrible sound quality and the annoying renditions of christmas favs. However, Kissin' Christmas by contrast is a classic smash at the holidays. Enjoy!
I loved this album!!!!! My grandkids especially enjoyed the "Santa Must be Polish" and "Kissin Christmas" selections. The other selections were good also and we enjoyed Bobby's versions of some of the standards as well. A real fun Christmas album.
The FIRST 6 songs were from his OTHER Christmas album, either from 1964 OR 1972. "Kissin Christmas" & "Santa Must be Polish" are real cute songs. And I also enjoyed Bobby's versions of "Jingle Bells", "Deck the Halls" & "Silent Night" This holiday album is good & it's recommended.
We really enjoyed this album. Many traditional Christmas carols. Especially enjoyed Santa Must be Polish. Also happy to find Bobby singing Silent Night in Polish.
I have this video. I bought it in Branson. It is so great. I urge anyone to buy it.
