This is one of the best collections of the early Wailers stuff. I can not recomend this CD enough if you like Bob Marley on any level. I do prefer the version of "Thank You Lord" on Songs of Freedom better, but thats neither here nor there. This Cd is great, with songs like "Adam and Eve" "Wisdom" (an early version of "Stiff Necked Fools"), "Go Tell It On The Mountain" (with Peter Tosh on vocals, didn't hear that enough in early Wailer's music), "Soul Rebel", "Run For Cover", "Cornerstone", "Small Axe", "Put It On", "Rainbow Country", and "I Know A Place" just to name a few show the Wailers in prime form. A great addition to any Marley collection. Please get this album, you won't regret it. ONE LOVE
If you're a fan of Bob Marley & the Wailers and are looking for a little more than what's on "Legend," this is an excellent place to start. 51 tracks on 2 CDs of great Wailers songs spanning 9 years of their career is more than enough to get the casual fan groovin' and feelin' good. Many of the songs may be new, and a handful may be familiar, but this album keeps it fresh by providing different versions of the songs we know and love.
This is one album everyone can appreciate.
I have a lot of the Bob Marley & The Wailers music, mostly on vinyl. I was just happy to get this on Compact Disc(CD).
I would recommend this to Reggae lovers.
