I stumbled upon this earlier today in FYE. The cover caught my eye, and when I saw the band's name was bloodbath I was like "I've gotta listen to this." so I start listening to the samples and I'm like "This is pretty damn sick." then I noticed Mikael Akerfeldt's name on it and I was like "SOLD!!" Didn't even realize it was live until I got to track 3, and heard the audience cheering. I was stunned that something live could sound SO good. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Whether you are new to death metal or a seasoned veteran, there is no denying that Bloodbath is the band to listen to. This particular album is absolutely beautiful with guitars blasting their way in drop A, blast beats that would summon demons, and the growling vocals of Opeth legend Mikael Akerfeldt.

The album and DVD are both well produced and have excellent sound quality for it being live. The interaction with the crowd is great, the songs are very well done (there's some slip-ups with tempo and lyrics as compared to the studio albums), and the band is covered with something that looks like blood.

If you are new to metal - get this album so you may know what real death metal sounds like.

If you are a metal veteran - this album is essential for your collection.

THE ONLY BAD THING: I could't get the DigiBook Version. Amazon should specify wich version the costumer is buying !!! Now I must buy it again at a special version.

What can I say....this is an amazing CD+DVD combo. You get a DVD of there full 1st concert from Wacken Open Air, Germany recorded Aug 5, 2005. I haven't listen to the CD yet but, it will be the same as the concert just the audio obviously. I really enjoyed the DVD...I only had a few things that made me kinda eh....the video is kinda dark-ish? But that's nothing big. And also there is only 3 songs from Resurrection Through Carnage while they have 6 from Nightmares Made Flesh and they have the 3 songs from the Breeding Death EP. I just kinda wish they added a few more songs from RTC but that is just me. I would highly recommend to get this if your a fan of bloodbath. I have one of the 1st pressing which only made 10,000 of and it comes in this digipack and looks amazing. The booklet also comes with all the lyrics to the songs they play. Another thing that kinda made me eh is that they had some easter eggs on the dvd or even some behind the scenes or something...that would of been pretty cool...or just something extra besides just the concert. But all in all this is a good album and DVD. So buy this now you wont regret it!
