Review - Product Description
No other recording in her entire career does a better job of capturing Beth Hart's music live than '37 Days.' The entire album was recorded and mixed in only 37 days. It was produced like a live album. All the people who worked on the album respected, trusted and loved each other: Jon Nichols on Guitar, Tom Lilly on Bass, Todd Wolf on Drums and Percussion, the talented Danish Producer, Rune Westberg (As Beth says of Rune, 'He's helped me be a better artist all around, I love this guy!'), Beth's friend and Manager, David Wolff, her husband, Scott Guetzkow, and all those talented people at Center Staging. There was a spontaneous chemistry on this record that only happens on stage. Universal.

- Simply Amazing

Wow! The new Beth Hart cd, 37 Days, has been worth the wait! I'm simply amazed by the strength of her vocals, the song selection, the lyrics, and her presence! She is a true artist.

If you are hesitating to buy this import now, do yourself a favor and don't. You won't regret it if you are want to enjoy the brilliance of a real artist.

She makes any song her own. Once she sings it, it's branded with the Beth Hart brilliance that only she can give.

- Power and Elegance!

Beth sounds better than ever and can belt it out like no one else can! The songs and the production are very strong and European fans have responded strongly to 37 Days. The album reached #1 in Denmark the first week released and entered the top 20 in the Netherlands and Norway not long after release. This album was recorded live at Center Staging in Burbank CA with high-def cameras recording video as well. Beth and band worked with Danish producer Rune Westberg to capture the raw live sound and produced the album like a live album. The album was recorded and mixed in only 37 Days. The album starts with one of the happiest songs ever written "Good as it Gets" and ends with "At the Bottom" one of the most heartbreaking songs Beth has ever written. She shows all sides of her personality and emotions within this cd and her sense of humor adds a great touch. There are hard driving rock songs Sick, Face Forward and Waterfalls. There are beautiful piano songs Jealousy, Over You and the amazing cover Soul Shine. It includes a classic that she has been performing live for years Crashing Down and so much more. Beth's versatility shows and both her power and her elegance are showcased. Her vocals are incredible and her band did an amazing job. This album truly shows Beth again topping her previous work and continuing to grow as an artist. Now that she has almost 5 years clean and sober the themes on this album turn more outward to the world as well as exploring her inner emotions. The political statements in Sick and Face Forward, the song inspired by the children of war Missing You, and Heaven Look Down that expresses Beth's sorrow at the state of the world. Beth is truly an astonishing artist and songwriter. I highly recommend 37 Days!

- Beth Hart Rocks!

I am a relatively new fan of Beth. I had simply not heard of her until a few months ago when I was trying to find Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love on Youtube and came across Beth's cover of it. I was blown away with each new song and was won over again and again. Beth is a singer songwriter with a great depth of passion and a whole lot to write about. The music itself is great from the hard rocking songs to the bluesy guitar and the poignant piano playing. Her voice is amazing. Angelic and vulnerable with an edge of roughness to outright screaming anger. Every note full of passion like her life depended on it. You really get the feeling that she is goinog through therapy writing and performing these songs. Affirming the pains and joys of her life. Acknowledging the wrongs and embracing the positive changes. The songs make me feel like I know her, they make me want to hug her and tell her that I'm proud of her and that she is strong enough to overcome her problems. My favorite song changes from week to week or day to day as I pick up on nuances in each track. I can't seem to keep the volume at a reasonable level when listening. My wife started questioning my fascination with this artist when every day I was playing her music. I just hope to see her perform live one day. Maybe she'll come to New Orleans one day but her biggest following is in Europe. I also recommend Live at Paradiso. Beth is meant to be heard live.

- Diva

A few years ago, someone told Joe Bonamassa, hey, you wanna break into the mainstream and sell a buncha records? Cut that shaggy hair, put on a nice suit and wear some cool shades, and get a big time producer. It has worked well for Joe, and make no mistake, he is, our great hope for the future of the blues. Not to mention, introducing Beth to a wider audience.

But, I doubt Beth would be interested in this type of approach to fame. In fact, I think she'd probably spit on it. She brings her left field persona to the stage, complete with all her past demons and nightmares, a no BS lady who conjures up spirits on stage, and can sing the pants off of any poser contender. Reckless abandon, and to hell with the mainstream!

Because of that, she will never be a household name. She's too frightening. Too honest and open. Too... genuine.

Please experience Beth Hart soon. She is our last Diva.

- She is awesome

Great songs, great energy, great passion. She is one of my very favorite artists and I'm glad I got this CD. I'm not sure why this hasn't been released in the U.S. yet, but thanks Amazon for providing a means of getting it. My favorite tracks are "Sick", "Jealousy", "Heaven Look Down", "Over You", and of course "As Good as it Gets".
