- Please Don't Keep Me Wonderin' No More!!!!

Not a bad set considering the bargin price. The packaging is about as flimsy as the The Beatles Capitol box-set. However, I for one, would gladly pay about 50% more for a three or four cd box with bonus tracks and a decent booklet, and some inteligent comentary. Is that asking too much?...Well, E-X-C-U-S-E M-E!!!

Consider how good this could have been if they included the additional Filmore tracks from "Eat A Peach". So far Atlantic/Capricorn has produced three Allman anthologies; The four CD set. Too much Hour Glass, Allman Joys and solo material. Even a track of Gregg & Cher, (spare me). Mediocore job of remastering. Overall 3 stars. Next up The Road Goes On Forever, (remastered and expanded to 30 cuts). Ten year output, the Brothers peak years. The best yet for my money, five stars. Last, we have Stand Back, another killer 2-CD collection. Thirty tracks, outstanding remastering. A little heavey on the live material. Still rates four and a half stars.

But Please, Please... "Please Don't Keep Me Wonderin' No More!". When can we expect the release of a "real" anthology? One worthy of the ABB. You know something like The Band's Musical History, or the Johnny Cash Legend set. Don't play us cheap. Afterall we "Ain't Wastin' Time No More"!!!!!!!

- They just keep milking the old stuff

With 100s of unreleased tapes in the archives all Universal can do is re-hash old stuff again and again

The CDs are classic Allmans but why a box set ???
