- Unforgettable songs

This may not be the Canadian songstress' most exhaustive hits collection but it provides great listening pleasure. Anne specialised in simple but moving pop and country songs that made her popular in The USA and worldwide.

The lovely Snowbird first brought her international fame but all the tracks are tuneful and memorable, like the Kenny Loggins composition Danny's Song and Love Song. Known as a country star, her repertoire included both that style and middle of the road pop.

My favourites here are Snowbird, Danny's Song, Shadows In The Moonlight, You Needed Me (which won her a Grammy Award) and her interpretation of The Monkees' Daydream Believer. Major omissions on this album include Let's Keep It That Way, He Thinks I Still Care (her first country number one), Let's Keep It That Way and her duet with Loggins, Nobody Loves Me Like You Do.

This Greatest Hits CD is perfect for the newcomer to Anne Murray but not comprehensive enough for her devoted fans.

- Wonderful voice!

Anne Murray has always had a sweet sounding voice without being shrill or babyish. She has a great vocal range and can sing all types of songs. I really like all the songs she sings.

- Misunderstanding of product.

I thought that I had bought the CD but an LP album is what was shipped. No doubt misunderstanding and not paying attention on my part, I don`t even have a turntable anymore.

- I bought this for my Dad

I bought this for Christmas for my Dad. He told me he listens to it each night now before he goes to sleep.

- Wonderful voice! Great songs!

I first heard Ms. Murrays' singing back in high school during the 1970s, on a Chicago country music station. I was hooked and have been a loyal fan ever since, buying several of her LPs (that's "records", for you newbies out there!). Now that I've discovered her CDs, I'm going to update my collection whenever spare cash will allow!
