- One of her best songs in my opinion.....

I really love this song because of its simplicity and feeling. I am amazed how different it sounds in each mix. And the lyrics are JUST SO GOOD. I love it. I am a Joyful girl now that I have this CD. The samples here do not do it justice. Believe me-buy it. I would, however, recommend buying the Dialate CD first to become familiar with the song. The shameless mix is funky, and both hands is cool because it is live, but I rarely listen to them on this version.

- I LOVED IT!!!

She definitly has it! The first time I heard "Joyful Girl" (danger and uncertainity) remix version on MTV's 120 minutes I was blown away. I have the "More Joy, Less Shame" CD and again, she has done it. She takes one song and puts different arrangement of music with it and some of it is sutle, but the end result is magic! Well worth the money.

- The Goddess herself...

In addition to the versions on Clip and Dilate, the four versions of Joyful Girl on this CD make More Joy an essential purchase for the serious Ani fan. Amazingly, each of the six versions provides a unique slant on one of Her most haunting songs.

If I had to pick my favourite version, it would probably be the live version with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (track 4), which is simply exquisite. Just hit the Repeat button and fall into the arms of the Great Mother.

- worth it

but only if you must own every single ani album or really like the song joyful girl.

this disk is just a bunch or remixes of joyful girl. it does, however, contain a beautiful and amazing version of both hands which is one of my favorite ani songs. this made it worth it to me, but this was also during a time where i was paying lots of money for ani bootlegs. that day in my life has passed and this cd doesn't get much play anymore, certainly not the air time that her other albums do.

- ...We Owe Each Other The World....

Four Amazingly unique versions of one of the best songs off the 1996 release Dilate. This is an amazing song and I was overjoyed that Ani included the funked up version of SHAMELESS and the super version of BOTH HANDS. I would honestly suggest getting Dilate and Living In Clip before getting this EP. Still, this is an amazing EP and well worth checking out...Another Gem from Mz Difranco. xo
