Amber is moving from Dance Diva to something much more complex and wonderful!
Amber left Tommy Boy to allow herself more artistic freedom and to avoid being pigeon-holed into only dance music. She created her own label and released this awesome forward-thinking track from her new unique and powerful Rock/Pop album, "My Kind of World."
If you ONLY like dance tracks, you will still enjoy the remixes, especially the tribal and Hi-NRG mixes! But you might be surprised by the lack of dance tracks on the album.
Amber has made it very clear that this project is not a dance project but an effort to be the true artist she is inside.
The good news for dance fans is that there will be a whole remix album coming out! And again, this single comes with some great remixes!
This is a great Maxi - It comes with a lot of mixes and a great deal of variety, including long mixes for the club! If you like "Sexual," "Yes" and "This is Your Night" you will also love Amber on this track. This is her natural progression, and all without the "help" and oppresion of a major record label.
Well, since I'm into a many different styles of music, Amber using a different style is refreshing. "You Move Me" is still dance but not the typical commerical sound. It daring, audicous, and anwsome! The orginal version reminds me of songs edgy songs done by "What It Feels Like for a Girl" by Madonna and "What You Waiting For" by Gwen Stefani. In my opinion, Amber should ascend upwards to Madonna's success! Her music is always quality. The sky's the limit for Amber and to want her to continue maturing as artist. My favourite mixes are the original version and the Hi-NRG mix.
Amber, born may 9 1969,is a dance/pop singer originally from the Netherlands who has had little chart success. Previous remixes of her singles have been regularly played in clubs. Though she has had only a few released single, this has to be the worst song of hers yet. Oddly enough, this single is only a trick to make her new album appear that it has dancy tracks. Her new full album is actually Easy Listening/Pop at it's worst. Apparently Amber had a falling out with her old record label and couldnt get a contract through any others. This is actually put out on Amber's own new label. She could have done better and she will most likely never rock the dancefloor again.
