This is a bootleg recording of a 1970 show in Toronto. This collection is available under many, many different names including, Science Fiction, Freak Out, Freak Out Song, Painting a Picture, etc., all of which are available from Amazon. The last two songs "Going to the River" and "Ain't That Just Like A Woman" ARE NOT Alice Cooper songs, nor are they performed by Alice Cooper. (You can confirm that with Alice's assistent, Brian "Renfield" Nelson.)

This is a very poor album. Save your money.

This awful bootleg has been issued and reissued for over 30 years. I have it on LP. It's an amateur recording made at the September 13, 1969 Toronto Rock 'n' Roll Revival held at the football stadium of the University of Toronto.

Why does it sound so bad? For one thing, the concert promoter (Detroit's "Uncle" Russ Gibb) was a cheapskate, and provided only the minimum P.A. system, and this did not include stage monitors (which is why you often see photos of singers of that day singing with one finger in an ear so they could hear themselves).

My guess is that, "Ain't That Just Like A Woman?" and "Goin' to the River," the two songs obviously not sung by Alice Cooper are by '50s rebel Gene Vincent, who the Alice Cooper Band, formerly known as The Spiders, often backed up. He played earlier that day.

I've been a fan of Alice Cooper's for about 25 years now and I like this album as the rabid fan that I am. Unfortunately for the uninitiated this is not a good place to start. Alot of people buy this album because it's cheap. In whatever form or title you purchase it as, this in not an official Alice Cooper album. This is a bootleg of the 1968 Toronto rock n'roll revival Alice played with John Lennon. This album has been titled "Freak Out", "Snorting Anthrax", "Live In Toronto" among other titles. The recording quality is not that good. Alice does not endorse this album, as a fan I can assure you that this product in it's many titles and numerous cover art adaptations is below the standard the Alice holds his work to.

I Love Alice Cooper ... I HATE this album ... Its cheap for a reason .. the reason is it's garbage ..
