| The Decemberists are about to kick off their "The Long and the Short of it" Tour, which will feature two dates in each city so they can do one set of epic, proggy tunes and one set of short, poppy tunes, which is kind of the best idea ever. While we're at it, there are a lot of bands out there I'd love to see split up their "Songs You Actually Want to Hear" sets and "Crappy New Album" sets... (Ryan's Smashing Life) If you haven't listened to D.C.'s Le Loup yet, do yourselves a favor and check them out on Stereogum. Their name means "The Wolf" in French, which makes sense, cause every English phrase involving wolves is already a band. How many songs are there with the word "home" in the title? I'm guessing there's got to be at least, like five. (Bring Me Up) Wow - an entire blog post devoted to Dave Grohl's drum demos for Queens of the Stone Age's Songs For the Deaf. I might be able to criticize if I hadn't watched all the Audio-Only tracks on my Looney Tunes DVD a dozen times. (I Am Fuel, You Are Friends) Zerobridge sound pretty cool, particularly for their catchy, Pixies-esque basslines.
