This is probably my favourite Warren Zevon song and this is the best version I have heard of it. The orchestrated album version is very good but this has a more real live feel. Recorded in 1976 with Jackson Browne and a sparse piano accompaniment. The portrayal of a mind on the edge hearing hymns in the air-conditioning hum is a moment of genius.
