- The ultimate compilation of Vangelis` electronic tracks!

This compilation features electronic tracks of the 1970s that made Vangelis world-famous.I just love this CD!The 8 tracks on this winning CD are perfect for relaxation and it is so easy to be spaced out and lost in your thoughts when you listen to them!PULSTAR, ALBEDO 0.39, SPIRAL and other electronic favorites are all in here! All 8 tracks have something unique to offer and Vangelis really knows how to turn his work into an enjoyable and fascinating listening experience.THE BEST OF VANGELIS deserves to be in the music library of any new-age fan.Even if new-age is not really your prefered music category, this compilation is a "must listen". This is music that was created due to hard work, which evidently paid off.Another VANGELIS compilation I strongly recommend is THEMES.

- Best of

Best of is a compilation album with the artist Vangelis that features some of his most famous tracks such as "To The Unknown Man", "Spiral" and and "Pulstar". The sleeve design done by Louis East is in typical space synthesizer mode which fits well with the music. One could call this the best of Vangelis from the 70's as all the tracks come from that period. The sound is o.k. but is a bit muffled at times. Still I recommend it. 4/5

- The quality of the sound is bad

I bought "themes" by Vangelis too and there is a lot of difference between them. I just cannot understand why the quality is that bad. If you don't have other Vangelis CD's you may not notice the difference. Just because the songs are good, I give this CD 3 stars (it should normally deserve more).

- Incorrect Editorial Review

The editorial review above seems to be referring to Vangelis' album *Themes*, and not this, *The Best of Vangelis*. *Themes* is an excellent album and does include some tracks from *Blade Runner* and *Missing*; my four-star review applies to *Themes*. This album, *The Best of Vangelis*, may be good also, but I have not actually heard it.
