Vampire Weekend is an indie pop/rock band with Afro-pop influences. Bandmates Ezra Koenig (vocals, guitar), Rostam Batmanglij (keyboards, vocals), Christopher Tomson (drums) and Chris Baio (bass) formed February 2006 in New York City, New York, United States. Their self-titled debut album was released on January 29, 2008 on XL Recordings to, so far, critical success and the single A-Punk garnering heavy airplay on Alternative radio stations throughout the US. |
