- not bad
i liked this album, but only a few songs. i mean u have songs on the album that aren't anything like the singles. "my way", "nice and slow" & "u make me wanna" sound nothing like the rest of the album. the album though doesn't have any tracks at all that were like the singles. and in fact they aren't even good songs:

"just like me" featuring rap sex kitten lil kim is off the chain. her raps are what make the album bare the explicit advisory sticker. still the track is kinda slow but up-beat at the same time. the way that usher mixes rnb & rap is really cool, and who doesn't like it.

perhaps the best song on the album though is "slow jam" with rnb sensation, and new and upcoming diva monica. after releasing 2 multi-platinum albums, the two finally hooked back after there 94-95 teaming. now let me ask this? didn't this song already appear on a soundtrack before this album dropped?

"bedtime", "i will", "come back" & "one day you'll be mine" are more weak tracks, and if that isn't bad enough, he has an extended version of the first single on his album for the closing tracks. this album was short to begin with and the "you make me wanna" is on there twice & "slow jam" is from a different album. does anyone else see a problem with that?

- Usher's voice is sexy, smoldering.....
I normally don't like rap, but when I heard Usher/My Way for the first time I fell in love with some of the songs on this Grammy-nominated second CD by Atlanta native Usher. This CD isn't only rap but R&B. I enjoy Usher's smooth voice and the romantic lyrics he sings, especially in such tracks as the smoldering "Slow Jam" duet with Monica, the gentle yet sexy "I Will" with its catchy backbeat and sensual lyrics, and "One Day You'll Be Mine" which is good for either dancing or, shall I say, more intimate endeavors.

So even if you don't like rap, you might want to listen to Usher/My Way and maybe you'll be just as impressed as I was by this young man's voice and talent. He has released several other albums since this 1997 production (which also comes in a clean, less explicit edition), so if you like the material on this CD, maybe you'll listen to newer offerings by Usher such as 8701 and U-Turn.

- Something that was happening in 1997
Okay thinking about today's music industry, the music nearly of one artist nearly sounds the same of the next. Back in the day of the mid 90's, music was hot, happening and wild and this album is just one example of what people were bumping to back in those days.

Although many people critize this album to be very short, it's very good and has no bad songs as the advantage of being short. The hit "You Make Me Wanna" exposed Usher to be the public and this album was soon made a hit in 1997. The album has many sounds most of them linked to Hip-Hop in a way. There's also quite a few guest appearances on this album.

J.D was one of the people who really believed in this album and produced some of it's track, not to mention being featured in one. Usher also features R&B singer Monica on the album's longest track "Slow Jam" Surprisingly tha Queen Bee of Brooklyn, Lil' Kim herself makes an appearance on "Just Like Me" using her foul mouth to match the beat of the street!

The albums ballads are excellent from "Nice and Slow" to "Bedtime" it's relaxing. There ain't really dance tracks, there's just soothing R&B/Hip-Hop tracks like "Just Like Me" "My Way" and "You Make Me Wanna"

The album is worth the money. Even though it's 10-tracked and number 10 only seems to be an extended version of number 1, the album is still worth every penny. Cop it, it's hot. Usher da man!

- Real good!
This album is super but i have to say there were only 9 songs on it (the same song repeated twice doesn't count). But i definetly think that every song on the album is a quality song. I love the songs come back (with Jermaine Dupri), one day you'll be mine, nice n' slow, bedtime. Slow jam (with monica) is a very beautiful song. The song with Lil' Kim is pretty cool too. Overall i was pleased with this album and i hope that Usher makes another album which is even better and has more tracks on it.

- Anyway you want it
As a listener of R&B/Hip Hop I find that most of the songs on one CD are generally the same, but with this particular Cd you've got a variety of songs. If you wanna relax you might listen to the sultry sound of Monica and Usher in "Slow Jam", if you wanna listen to something that will add a little romance to your mood you might wanna check the sexy grooves of "Nice & Slow" or if you're looking for something to cruise with the crew then check out the queen herself LIL KIM and Usher busting the rhymes with "Just Like Me" or the chill out hook with "My Way", if you wanna dance or chill, pump up "You Make Me Wanna..". Any which way you listen to this Cd will keep you happy, a true hit. I loved the Cd and still do after owning for so long! Well Done Mr. Raymond!
