This film is called Labour of love because it features the music from UB40's hit album of that name. It's a love story set in inner city Birmingham, a wasteland of Thatcher's Britain. A story of frustration and aimlessness, set to great music. There's no "message", no blueprint, no suggestions - just a picture of how things can be. The film was directed by Bernard Rose and produced by Brian Travers. 1984.
