- A great collectionThis Platinum And Gold Collection is a must own for Toni Braxton fans. She is one of my favorite female musicians. Although, I think "Ultimate Toni Braxton" is more complete
1. Another sad love song 10/10 A great song
2. Breathe Again - 10/10 classic song about suicide
3. How could an angel break my heart 10/10
4. I belong to you 10/10
5. You mean the world to me 10/10
6. Un-Break my heart 10/10 Probably her biggest hit to date
7. How many ways 7/10
8. he wasn't man enough 5/10 I love the lyrics but she Sounds really MANNISH in this song
9. Maybe 5/10
10. A better man 7/10
11. Hit the freeway 7/10
12. Spanish Guitar 8/10
I can't wait for her sister Towanda (From the reality show "Starting over") to release an album and for TB's next release

- Decent collectionI guess I am one of the rare few who likes budget compilations. Both the 20th Century Millennium and Platinum and Gold Collections are enjoyable because they are concise and feature excellent remastering.
This 12 track collection features some of Toni Braxton's biggest hits ("Breathe Again", "Unbreak My Heart") and misses ("Hit the Freeway", "Spanish Guitar"). Overall the selection is solid, although the addition of "You're Making Me High" would have made this a perfect collection, but Braxton is one of R&B's finest singers and this collection is further proof that her voice is missed on radio.
It's worth mentioning that "How Could An Angel Break My Heart", "Maybe" and "Spanish Guitar" are featured here in remix format, making this a good listen for both Braxton diehard and casual fans.

- To Serve With ToniThe 1990's brought some grest R&B artists to the table. Yet, there are just very few of them that really remained as down to Earth, and soulful as they just started in the industry. Toni Braxton was just one of those artists. When she started, she made a couple of struggles, and problems with LaFace records in the process. Nevertheless, she has made a diverse career all her own. Some may have declared her the next Anita Baker because of her voice, but her rhythm with the music is just really a one of a kind gem. Sadly, I just wish I could say the same about Greatest Hits records.
The 2004 platinum & Gold Collection, is a BMG enriched collection of budget CD's of hits by several different artists that was their answer to Universal's 20th century Masters. The Toni Braxton edition contains a dozen of her songs from her 4 records with Arista and LaFace. The songs here are extremely delightful with some of her biggest hits, including Another Sad Love Song, Hit The Freeway with Loon, Breathe Again, and her #1 smash Un-Break My Heart. The collection also includes some tracks overlooked from last years Ultimate Toni Braxton like How Could An Angel break My Heart, and A Better Man.
Yet, there are really a bit of Toni Braxton songs here that were overshadowed on this collection such as Just Be A Man About It with Dr. Dre, Let It Flow from Waiting To Exhale, I Don't Want To, and her other #1 smash song from Secrets, You're Makin' Me High. That remains unfortunate not to have those songs, instead of some lesser known tracks like A Better Man, Maybe, and I Belong To You.
For some Toni Braxton fans, this collection fares very well, the 2003 Ultimate Toni Braxton hits collection is a much better purchase for die hard Toni Braxton fans. For people who are new to Toni Braxton's music, this collection might be a good purchase.
Overall rating: C

- Good value purchase for Toni's musicThis is a good value purchase of Toni Braxton's songs. This is for anyone who might not get through 75 minutes of Ultimate Toni Braxton from 2003, but might go through 45-50 minutes of this one. This album is different for that includes a few remixes, sometimes dance-related, of the hits, instead of the same 12 sad love song ballads that she's well known for. Instead, the handlers make it more fun and upbeat in most cases instead of downbeat and sad. But familiar hits like Another Sad Love Song, He Wasn't Man Enough, Breathe Again, Unbreak My Heart and others are found here. Braxton still is out there with her latest effort Libra, but this collection recalls what made her a star in the first place.

- Highly recommended!Toni Michelle Braxton is an all-American success story. The eldest of six children born to a Maryland clergyman, she started out singing in choir of her father's church. But, her wonderful smoky, smooth and deep contralto voice could not stay hidden for long. The rest, as they say, is history.
This wonderful album contains twelve of Toni Braxton's greatest hits, including Another Sad Love Song, Breathe Again, How Could An Angel Break My Heart...Heck, just read contents! Yeah, this is a great album, with a lot of really great tunes on it. If you like great music, then you will love this album. I highly recommend it!
