Review - Amazon.com :
Thalia is back in her element--thank goodness--on El Sexto Sentido, her return to a Spanish-language studio album after a gap of three years. The Mexican mogul faltered on her 2003 English-language debut, which was overproduced yet undernourished in terms of showcasing the fiesty, fun persona that has made her a star. El Sexto Sentido finds the singer returning to form, even if it's not as smashing a success as previous discs Amor a la Mexicana and Arrasando. There's still plenty to like, including the rock-tinged "Amar Sin Ser Amada" and "24,000 Besos," originally an Italian pop hit. Much of the album is sprinkled with electronic dance grooves ("Seduccion," "Un Sueno Para Dos"), but there's also a trio of sterling ballads ("Olvidame," "No Puedo Vivir Sin Verte," "Un Alma Sentenciada") that showcase Thalia's growing skills as a vocal interpreter. El Sexto Sentido also includes Thalia's coquettish take on Tejano icon Selena's "Amor Prohibido" (originally included on Selena Vive!). Three English-language tracks find Thalia improving on--but still not quite mastering--her English. Guess you can't have it all.--Joey Guerra

- The Thalia I know and love...
With her gorgeous face and body, sparkling personality and irresistable charm, people who know nothing about Thalia can sometimes mistake her for being a music industry marketing gimmick. Yet, she's actually a genuinely talented musician and naturally gifted performer.

I consider myself to be Thalia's biggest Canadian fan [she isn't very well known here, so I feel confident in saying that :-)].

After suffering an identity crisis with her 2003 self-titled album (which, for the most part, is in English), Thalia is herself again with El Sexto Sentido (which will be released outside Latin America and the US as The Sixth Sense). She's back with the torchy ballads and hypnotic dance grooves that made her a sensation in the first place. And, of course, Thalia always sounds best singing in her native tongue (though she sounds very comfortable in English now more than ever). Amar Sin Ser Amada (along with its English version You Know He Never Loved You) and 24 000 Besos (24 000 Kisses) are my faves for sure. The entire album, though, is excellent and worth listening to from start to finish. If Thalia plans to record another English album, I just hope that she follows her heart and her own style rather than demographics and listener polls.

this album is as beginning of 0, because had a failure with its album Thalia (2003) which is a complete disgust is horrible, also sack a hit's album that was stupid lacked songs that were really successes, the simple ones that I rush they didn't also work like it was expected, this album shows a new beginning for estra it shatters Latin, although I doubt a lot that it debuts of #1 in the billboard because daddy Yankee and Shakira have sales super High, the simple one also enters hardly to the billboard In these moments this of #14 in the Hot Latin track debuts of #21 we wait that it arrives at the #1, all the songs are sticky and well worked I don't eat their albums thalia (2002) and Thalia (2003) which were made of speed and they didn't give anything new to the Latin music. I advise them that they buy this album that is really the Second better thalia Album after Amor A La Mexicana (1997).

- Fine Comeback For the Latina Diva
In 2003, Latin recording artist and actress Thalía made an unsuccessful bid for mainstream success with her debut English album, which spawned the forgettable hit "I Want You," featuring Fat Joe, that breezed its way in and out of Billboard's Top 20. The worst album released in 2003, it was a complete and utter generic pop product with insipid lyrics, light r&b beats and guest rappers a la J. Lo; an embarrassing sellout and conformity.

However, the slate has been wiped clean with her latest release, "El Sexto Sentido (The Sixth Sense)." A solid collection of irresistible melodies and powerful vocal performances, Thalía reminds listeners what made them like her so much in the first place.

The disc kicks off with the flamenco-flavored lead single "Amar Sin Ser Amada (To Love Without Being Loved)," which the singer calls "a hymn for all women who have suffered from deception and broken hearts." Riding along on an aggressive electric guitar groove, she sings the song with conviction and passion.

Meanwhile, "Seducción (Seduction)," a fast-paced vocal performance swimming in Eurodance beats, is destined to call clubbers to many a dancefloor. Likewise, "24000 Besos (24000 Kisses)" is a feelgood affair with a rousing chorus and sing-a-long lyrics.

"Olvidame (Forget Me)" and "No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti (I Cannot Live Without You)," however, add unexpected dimension to the album. Passionate, over-the-top ballads full of passion and longing, these recordings hearken back to the tour-de-force that was her 1997 album "Amor a La Mexicana." With sparse yet sparkling production, these songs are allowed to breathe, yet are still buoyed perfectly so as to help Thalía sound her absolute best.

Furthermore, "Un Sueño Para Dos (A Dream For Two)" and "Sabe Bien (Tastes Good)," really turn up the heat. Steamy tracks that are deliciously produced with sex-kitten vocals, listening to these songs on repeat may well necessitate the listener to take a cold shower.

Elsewhere, the Latina diva delivers another pair of self-help anthems with "No Voy a Quebrar (I Am Not Going To Break)" and "Empezar De `0' (To Begin at Zero)," the latter of which sports helter-skelter Middle Eastern-flavored production and was written by Thalía herself. She closes the Spanish portion of the disc covering the late Selena's "Amor Prohibido (Forbidden Love)." Singing with great zest, her performance takes the classic in a new direction while remaining a fine tribute to Selena.

The sole problem of "El Sexto Sentido," however, lies in the 3 English translations that close the disc. Although "A Dream For Two" is a decent translation, "Seduction" and "You Know He Never Loved You" are a complete waste of disc space, especially the latter, which Thalía wrote in 30 minutes on the back of a popcorn bag - and sounds like it. Still, they are better than anything on her full-length English record.

Despite that defect, "El Sexto Sentido" is on the overall a fine album that lives up to the best moments of Thalía's track record and will doubtless please dedicated fans and casual listeners alike.

A limited edition is available with a bonus DVD containing 2 performances, a short documentary and an alternate take on the "Amar Sin Ser Amada" video.

- EL SEXTO SENTIDO are rich with modern sounds, this is one of her best album.
some reviews here are insipid and nasty. do not be easily decieved by them because some of them are exagerrated and has negative motives. let me tell you that EL SEXTO SENTIDO is an album with a modern sound because this is a 80% spanish album that will let cater the english market as well. this is again a new venture of thalia that will enable her fans from asia and europe, appreciate the new era sounds, which this album exudes. EL SEXTO SENTIDO are mixed with rock, dance, ballad, and funky tracks. the album is all about thalia's personality which is very sexy and bubbly. thalia showcases her strength in this album by singing BALLAD SONGS. thalia sung those ballad songs with full of emotions that will enable the listener feel the message of the song. thalia really knows that her strength is interpreting ballad songs. aside from her ballad songs, there are dance tracks that is very upbeat and catchy.
