Hablar de este grupo es hablar del comienzo de la música jamaicana moderna. Luego de la independencia de la isla caribeña en 1962, un ritmo se apropió de la efervescencia del acontecimiento: el Ska, mezcla de Rhythm & Blues, Mento, Jazz y música Afro Cubana, fue el emblema de la nueva nación. Este estilo aún continúa vigente en la música moderna de Jamaica, y fue el propulsor de otros géneros como el Reggae, Dub, Rocksteady, Drum´nBass, Acid jazz. Se considera a The Skatalites como la “banda madre” de la que salieron todas las demás, ya que varios de sus integrantes fueron los que concibieron lo que hoy conocemos como Reggae. |

Descripción: I když od letošního Festu PoD PaRoU uplynulo teprve pár měsíců a rok 2013 se zatím jen zlehka přiblížil, máme pro vás již potvrzené první hvězdy příštího ročníku. A že sebudete mít opravdu nač těšit výmluvně signalizují jména těchto prvních hvězd.
Ale pochopitelně tímto výčet hvězd dalšího ročníku ani zdaleka nekončí. Chystáme pro vás ještě spoustu dalších překvapení, protože i letos zůstaneme u loňského systému třech pódií, na nichž se ve třech dnech představí zhruba devadesát kapel.

Descripción: The Shambala Festival is a small family-friendly festival based in Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom.
Its a small diverse festival, it has a variety of music, this includes rock,pop,folk,cultural. There are also independent films, workshops, talks and debates, comedy, a fresh organic market, fair trade coffee, practical demonstrations, a speakers' corner, site art (a new art trail and a range of get-involved sculpture) and 'music with a mission'. The Bristol Permaculture group create a garden space incorporating art, crafts and sounds.
On the Saturday night there are usually 7000 people in fancy dress. DJs and speakers headline a green venue, which hosts talks about world issues, an anti GM opera, workshops and independent films.
