Review - Yahoo! Music - Vic Everett :
While the harmonious sounds of rap show signs of wear and tear from pop music exploration, SPM emerges from his snubbed debut with a scorching revelation, chronicling his activities in a 16-song release.
Combining ingredients that are part bravado and part hype, SPM (South Park Mexican) slaps listeners with a handful of tunes that prove this artist is no longer playing around. Songs like "Ooh Wee" and "Anything Goes" display the true artistic style SPM has to offer, and act as a conduit that provides energy to lethargic listeners. More than a simple combination of rushed material, SPM seems anxious to prove that his first release on a major record label is no fluke. Actually, you could say that the debut places a firm grip on the SPM sound, and heightens his level of commitment to rap in general.
Unlike the previous releases pushed through his self-owned indie label, Time Is Money not only better represents who this young artist is, but bears all the reasons why he's more than likely to stay a fixture in the music industry. Review - AMG :
For his first album under his distribution deal with Universal Records, South Park Mexican seems quite comfortable with his increasing popularity, rapping like a veteran here. It's nice to hear him handling most of the album's rapping duties after his previous release, The Purity Album, seemed more like a compilation issued under his name. The production is a bit more polished here than on previous SPM albums, and the rhymes flow much more fluidly than ever before, making it arguably the most well-crafted SPM album to date. If there is one major problem, though, it involves SPM's level of comfort -- he almost seems too comfy here, knowing that he's finally crossed over into major label territory. One somewhat misses the inspired efforts of older, rawer albums such as Hustle Town. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
