This CD contains two albums by the Miracles. Going To a Go-Go was originally released in 1965. The Tears of a Clown was originally released in 1967 under the title Make It Happen, then it was rereleased under the title The Tears of a Clown in 1970, after "The Tears of a Clown" became a hit that year. These are typical Motown albums of the era, in that they contain a few hit songs and a lot of filler. Going to a Go-Go actually features more hits than usual, with four Top 20 hits ("Ooo Baby Baby", "The Tracks of My Tears", "My Girl Has Gone" and "Going to a Go-Go"). The Tears of a Clown has three hit songs ("The Tears of a Clown", "The Love I Saw in You Was Just a Mirage" and "More Love"). The non-hit songs here are nothing special, for the most part. The best of the rest are probably "Choosey Beggar" and "The Soulful Shack". Should be of interest to Motown fans.
