Análisis de usuario (en inglés) - 2008-02-03
- Sheryl up close and personalI wish she would do an all-acoustic CD, and achieve the beatific sonics she has with the recent "Perfect Lie". I believe the tune is arranged a step or two too high but this situation actually engages the stylist to test her range, and she is definitely successful.
Too often her good works are covered in gross overproduction; in cliched half-tributes to her childhood idols. She is the new Queen of Rock and Roll, so let the reign fall on the multitude thirsty for something real.
The cover photo is a beautiful portrait and exquisitely frames the sonic content of this CD-single. (Don't think she's can outdo the covers on the extended plays of "Can't Cry Anymore" or "Strong Enough", though).
The "flip" (flip? see, I started with 78s!) is the 1996 "Home", another mix of folk and rock, in SC City, U.S.A.
