Shania Twain (Eilleen Regina Edwards) was born August 28, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Sharon and Clarence Edwards. She grew up as Eilleen Twain in Timmins, Ontario, after her parents separated when she was two and her mother remarried to Jerry Twain, a full-blooded member of the Ojibwa First Nation. She is a Canadian singer and songwriter who has been very successful in the country and pop music genres, setting several sales records for female artists and for country artists. |

The Timmins Minor Hockey Association is now accepting coaching applications for the following teams: Novice A, Atom A, Peewee A, Bantam A. Applications are available at the Shania Twain Centre open seven days a week 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Application deadline is Wednesday August 5th, 2009 at the Shania Twain Centre no later than 4:00 p.m.
