Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, known as Sean Paul, born on January 8, 1973 in St. Andrew, Jamaica, West Indies is a dancehall singer. Sean Paul has Portuguese heritage from his paternal grandfather, Sephardic Jewish heritage from his paternal grandmother (though he's not jewish, since his mother is not), African heritage from his maternal grandfather, and Chinese heritage from his maternal grandmother. Both his parents are Jamaican natives. His nicknames include Zion Lion and King of Israel. |

Officers on routine patrol found a robbery victim on the ground near 21st Street and Forest Avenue in Des Moines about 2 a.m. today. Sean Paul Laas, 35, of Altoona, had been beaten and had swelling, bruises and cuts to his head and face.
