- Mixed emotions...except for the collectors.Well, what can I say? This is one of those recordings that keep popping up from rather unknown companies in different sleeves, with different names, but come from the same master tape.. The recordings are dated around 1968 thru 1972 (would be my guess). There's a lot of Santana blues in there still. It's essential listening for hard-core Santana fans who love that "Abraxas" feel. I rate it as pretty good, because I'm one of those devotees myself, but I can imagine there are others who'd not agree....

- DELTA-NA ABLATE-ISDELTA/LASERLIGHT sinks to new lows with this odd SANTANA album.
The later-career version of "Persuasion" here is lame-- it doesn't have the fire of that first COLUMBIA LP's track. The title cut, "Evil Ways" is bootleg-quality live material. The rest on this one is forgettable.
NOT recommended. (1½ jingos)
