Description :
The debut single, "What Hurts The Most" is the fastest moving single in Rascal Flatts history. Me And My Gang is an enhanced cd that gives fans exclusive Rascal Flatts footage. Produced by Dann Huff and Rascal Flatts.Review - Amazon.com :
This fourth effort from the soft-rock-masquerading-as-country band Rascal Flatts moved more than 721,000 copies its first week out, which let the female-friendly trio rub elbows with some mighty heady company. Only four other country artists (Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks, and Tim McGraw) have rolled out numbers like that, and only 24 other acts total (including Eminem, 50 Cent, U2, and Coldplay). So what's the hook, besides Gary LeVox's wounded tenor and Joe Don Rooney's boy-band face? Clearly, it's the songs. Or it usually is. On Me and My Gang, "What Hurts the Most" is the one that'll end up on a tape loop in your head, though "Yes, I Do" memorably frames romantic yearning and regret with ersatz reggae rhythms, and the sexy "Cool Thing" does a slow burn. The problem? New producer Dann ("King of Excess") Huff bloats too many tunes with screaming, by-the-book guitars and general bombast. And despite his über success with Faith Hill and Keith Urban, Huff has never really understood what makes country, well... country. Instead, he insultingly works in a snippet of steel guitar and a couple of family lyrics--e.g., the melodramatic "Ellsworth" is meant to pull the heartstrings of anyone who's seen the cruelty of Alzheimer's--and thinks he's thrown Nashville a bone. Worse, "Backwards" boringly reworks that hoary ol' country joke "What do you get when you play a country song backwards?," the title song is a Big & Rich ripoff, and even God gets dragged in for a half-baked attempt at middle-America resonance ("He Ain't the Leavin' Kind"). C'mon now. Call these boys pop and be done with the pandering. Joe Don's famously photographed derričre got a fairer crack than this. --Alanna Nash More Rascal Flatts Rascal Flatts | Melt | Feels Like Today | Customer review - 2006-04-06
- Me and My Gang is a very entertaining CDI really enjoyed listening to this new CD by Rascal Flatts. Stand is my favorite song on this album. It is a song with a very positive message that you can overcome hard times if you stay focused and don't give up. The title track is a fun upbeat track about hanging out with your gang of friends having fun. What Hurts The Most is another gem here. This is an excellent song about the pain of breaking up with someone, and the difficulty of expressing your feelings to that person. I could really relate to the lyrics of this song. Cool Thing is another highlight track here. This song is about how two people find each other and fall in love. This song is also about how it feels when the person you love leaves you. I love Gary LeVox's emotional vocals on this song. Ellsworth is a very touching song about a grandmother suffering from Alzheimers disease and how a special place conjures up memories of long ago. I love the lyrics of My Wish. This is a beautiful song about all of the good wishes of love and prosperity you could have for someone you love. Me and My Gang is a very entertaining CD. I enjoyed it very much.

- Soulful and catchyI'm a new fan of Rascal Flatts. I love their music. It's catchy, heart wrenching, enchanting, soulful and simply blissful. Before the CD was released, I caught a glimpse of the music video for What Hurts the Most and it broke my heart. This CD is filled with ballads and upbeat songs, but also beautifully put together. I couldn't resist pre-ordering a copy.
Here are some of my thoughts on a few of the tracks on this CD:
Stand: A beautiful lyric about being steadfast when things get hard and going through hard times makes you stronger
What Hurts the Most: Heart-wrenching ballad about losing someone you love. The music video will make you cry.
Backwards: Witty, fast and very catchy tune about how wonderful it would be if you could get back everything you've lost if you could simply play a country song backwards. LOL
Me and My Gang: I love this song! It's fast, clean and makes me want to get up and dance.
My Wish: This is a farewell song; sort of like a good-bye letter you'd write to someone you love. I love it. The words are filled with such goodness, such wonderful desires for all that life has to offer for a cherished one.

- Worst Boy Band EverTo actually call this good music is insulting to any decent musician out there. Not only are their songs pop covered with a southern accent, but they can't even write write their own songs they are so worthless of human beings. But then again they are also on a record label that actually puts out records by Shedaisy and is owned by DISNEY, as if that wasn't proof enough of how much of a boy band they really are. Not writing their own songs and being owned by Disney makes them about the biggest tools on the planet. And by the way, they're 36. Why don't they just get married and shut up about 'what hurts the most' on every album. Grow up.

- Heard this on the radio the other day andit about made me pull over and throw up. Then again, this is coming from a band who got their big break by showing a male rear end on a video. That speaks volumes about the substance and musicianship one should expect from this release. There are no musical elements except for LOUD found anywhere on this album. I don't really blame these guys, look what passes for country music or any music today. Lower than mediocre rules the airwaves and billboard charts. Seriously, can you go into a honkytonk and listen to this without looking over your shoulder? No musicianship + the most annoying boy/girl voice in the business + songs written for first graders + expectations of "country" fans = today's version of new kids on the block and Grammy winning country superstars. What about the rest of us who appreciate substance and an occasional quiet melody with our country?

- They Get 1 Star Cuz I Can't Pick ZERO...This is a horrible band. The only reason they are considered country is because they suck too much to make it on pop radio. Lots of bands do this....music sucks...throw a fiddle and steel guitar behind it and play it on a country station. Boy bands are NOT COUNTRY MUSIC, and Rascal Flatts IS a boy band. And although all boy bands suck in my opinion, the Flatts (lame band name, too) are at the very bottom of the boy band food chain. Can Gary LeVox's voice get any more femmy? Is it possible for them to depress us anymore with all of their weeping, whining, Skin sobbing songs? What Hurts the Most? My EARS!!! From listening to them and their gang inflict this sorry excuse for music on the naive public.
