- At FirstWhen i had first heard of Pretty Ricky. I was like i didnt even want to be bothered. Cause i just formed an opinion based on no facts at all. But i finally decided i should give the CD a go and so i bought. I've listened to it once since i got it. But my impression of this CD is that its "something fierce" and there is no song on the CD that i dont like. I didnt skip past any song on the CD from beginning til the end. I was loving everything about it. A few of my personal favs in order at all:
1. Grind With Me - obviously it gets played a lot
2. Chevy - the beat is what's all about
3. Can't Live Without You - i just like what the song says
4. Juicy - i wont go there, but i love this one also
5. Never Let You Go
6. Grill 'Em - PR bring it on this one
Just about all the other songs are on point and i love them as well. So this is coming from someone that didnt like PR at first. But i gave it a chance and the verdict is very well done.

- Lets Give Pretty Ricky Their Props ( they are not another B2K!!!)Many people say Pretty Ricky is just another B2k and some people say Pretty Ricky is one of the best all boy groups in 2005, in my opinion Pretty Ricky have their own style and is doing their own thing and even though they are similar to B2k, they are very different.
B2k and Pretty Ricky both consist of four members. They both have family members in the music industry that helped them get started, B2k had Marques Houston and Chris Stokes and Pretty Ricky had Joe "Blue" Smith. They both have family member within the group, B2k J-Boog and Omarion are cousins and Pretty Ricky are all blood brothers. Both groups are great dancers and have a very high fan base of girls.
They are also very different. Pretty Ricky been singing and dancing all of their lives, they are from Miami and their record label is Atlantic Records; first week of album release they sold about 86,000. Pretty Ricky have a mix group of fans both males and females. Most of Pretty Ricky's songs talk more about sex and not wanting a girlfriend. Pretty Ricky is still together and their songs have more of a mature feel than B2k.
B2k is from Los Angeles and their record label is Epic Records, first week of album release B2k sold over 1 million copies. B2k been in movies together and been in more TV shows than Pretty Ricky. B2k have a wide variety of songs, but most of their songs talk about girls and wanting a girlfriend. B2k been a group since 2001, but is now broken up.
Even though both groups are very good, I think Pretty Ricky is a better group because their music is more up to date and more relatable. Pretty Ricky are the new boys of 2005 and are very talented. If you haven't listened to Pretty Ricky CD yet, you shouldn't judge them before you listen them because they are really good. (Go get the CD, you wouldn't be sorry).

- The Peak of the worstThere was a time where Will Smith could get our attention with great songs like, Just Crusin'. These songs were harmless and also free of explicit content. Now is 2005 we have the Pretty Ricky boys spouting lyrics as phenominal as "get a taste of the salami, knock you down like the tsaunami". Quality. Lets not forget "cut her like a new razor", i hope these guys write their own stuff because they are talented.
YES I'M BEING SARCASTIC
This is awful, whats next? I can't stand that talentless nothings are making money with abysmal trash like this. cut her like a new razor" sounds more like a threat. Every song is uncreative, uninspiring cr*p. Also how can you listen to Call me without laughing?
I am shocked to see so many 5 stars, what the hell is wrong with you people? How can listening to guys taking about their b*tch*s and 24 inch rims be so appealing for so long. No i didn't buy this album, and I pity you all for doing so and liking it.
As a race, how will we be taken completely serious when our mainstream is this garbage? I can only hope it gets better.
PS (Track 12 'I want you') Leaves fall in the autumn not the summer.

- Oh, Lord...I was looking at the Billboard Hot 100 last year like I do every week, and at one point I noticed a song that was making moves was "Grind With Me" by Pretty Ricky. I had never heard of the song, and after I listened to it, I wished I still hadn't heard of the song. I don't know what possessed me to listen to the full-length album, Bluestars, but I did and, well, I couldn't get the CD out of my stereo fast enough.
I agree with reviewer Hakeem when he said that all these five-star reviews must be from people that are on the group's street team or something. Pretty Ricky consists of four people: three rappers (Spectacular, Diamond "Baby Blue", and Slick -- and I use the term "rapper" loosely) and one singer (Pleasure). The problem with this album is that these are the horniest AND most talentless guys I have ever heard of, and that is a terrible combination. The lead single "Grind With Me" is really called "Grind On Me", and it's one of the nastiest things I have ever heard, but "Playhouse" isn't far behind. And "Nothing But a Number" is very, very statutory.
Also annoying is their use of dated lyrics, like "If lovin' you is wrong, I don't wanna be right" on "Grind On Me", or "If I'm lyin', I'm flyin'" on "Grill `Em" (what does that even mean, anyway?). The guys also have a habit of continually yelling certain adlibs, like "FROM THE BACK!" on "Get a Little Closer", and "Yes, sir!" on "Your Body". Also, while Pleasure's singing isn't HORRIBLE, it's hard to listen to after all that wack rapping. Actually, his chorus on "Shorty Be Mine" is sure to cause you DISpleasure.
Speaking of that song, things are equally unimpressive when the guys DON'T talk about sex, like on "Never Let You Go", "Can't Live Without You", and the obligatory bling-blingin' songs "Chevy" and "Grill `Em". But in the long run I guess all that doesn't matter because nobody cares about Pretty Ricky any more and as my brother said, they're probably now back to working at Wendy's. If I ever come across the Bluestars CD again, in the words of "Your Body", dammit, I'll beat it up.
