I don't know what all the fuss is about. I think this is some pretty good stuff by Paula. It's not one of the best albums you can buy, but it's still pretty good. Plus, I believe that this album has the power to change your life. It changed mine. 2 years ago in April, I was hit by a bus. I almost died. I don't remember the weeks that I spent in the ICU, but later I was moved to a normal room with a roommate. My roommate was a big Paula fan, and it was there that I first heard Head over Heels. When I heard the song "Ain't never gonna give you up," I had him rewind the tape because I liked the song so much. This song gave me something to hold onto during those tough times. It gave me strength. In my mind, I switched around the words a little bit to "Ain't never gonna give up on You, Brian." (You might say it's corny, but your brain does different things when your flat on your back in the hospital) Later, during my therapy sessions, I had this song played on a CD player continuously while I rehabilitated myself. I had a friend bring me a large poster of Paula Abdul so that she could help me while I struggled. After a while, my physical therapist was trained so well that when I stepped into therapy, the poster would already be up on the wall, and the song "Ain't never gonna give you up" was playing quietly in the background.

Today, I can walk. I owe a lot of my success to the song "Ain't never gonna give you up." The other songs are OK, not great, but not to bad either.

It's my dream to someday meet Paula. I'd like to thank her for the laughter. Thank her for helping me through the tears. Thank her for her courage. Thank her for "never gonna give up on you, Brian."

This album contains the most powerful song to touch my life.

She is a Good Dancer I'll give her that.but as far as Music is concerned? No Way in The World should She ever gotten a Contract.This Disc has some interesting topics&subjects give them to someone who can actually carry a tune.Paula Abdul is so Tone-Deaf she Makes Janet Jackson sound Like Aretha Franklin by Comparrison and Janet can't sing Either but she gets over a Little bit more than Paula.All of Her Albums are wack.when that story ran a few years back about a Back-Ground Vocalist Singing in her place she should have said yes cuz to claim that Voice is a Sadd Commentary.

I'm not a very happy camper after buying this. This is sooo average that it's not even funny. It had not even a shred of redeeming quality to it. Paula was obviously washed up by the time she made this.

I guess my major problem with this cd was not it's suggestiveness, but rather it's in-your-face approach to controverisal issues. I am very open minded but I really don't need Paula's political views shoved down my throat when I listen to her music. Case and point being how the song "The Choice is Yours" is so obviously a pro-choice anthem. "Under The Influence" clearly makes an arguement for the repeal of DWI laws in the state of California. "Ain't Never Gonna Give You Up" is a vailed story about a substance abuser who has no intention of giving up their vice. "Crazy Cool" takes the serious issue of schizophrenia and makes a mockery out of it's symptoms. And last but not least is the tragic tale of an unloved transexual in "If I Were Your Girl". Again, I have no problem discussing issues such as these with people, but I am disappointed that I have to be bombarded with them while I listen to music.

As a dj, I hafta respect all kinds of music. I do my spinnin' at the Pump House. Some times some one will want me to spin a song from an artist that I don't really like. That's all part of the job.

It's cool I don't have too many people bustin' down my door askin for Paula Abdul any more. I always hated spinnin' songs from THiS record 'cause they weren't at all good. There were so many other records I wanted to give the crowd.

Amazon has thousans of great recordins for you to bye. In my idea is that this is the worst of her 3 cds, the worst of the worse if you will. If you like good dance music, the Ricky Martin is really hot now. If your looking for some thing older, try any Ace of Base record, or if you want more club, DeeLite. I garantee that you will be much happyer owning any of these dance tracks besides this Paula Abdul record.
