Sir Paul: Just Leave Me Alone

Paul McCartney is spending some time this week in New York City, where he's been warmly received by fans and fanatically followed by photographers and journalists. Sir Paul even had to give a spontaneous press conference to the assembled media that's been hounding him. Our friends at Page Six fill us in: SIR Paul McCartney, whose divorce from Heather Mills gets messier by the week, is making a scene everywhere he goes. Monday night, the former Beatle dined at Italian eatery Il Gattopardo on West 54th Street. When he got up to leave, patrons applauded and cheered - one even shouted, "We're with you all the way, Paul!" The circus continued yesterday when McCartney, after being chased by photographers and reporters, stopped his car in residential New Jersey to give an impromptu press conference, where he said, "Look, I am doing just fine. I just need some time to myself." Hey, maybe since theyr'e both in NY, Paul can give Britney some divorce pointers!
