This is a song by THE Patty Griffin, My favorite singer/songwriter. Since Hurricane Katrina, I've never been able to listen to this song without seeing the aftermath of Katrina in my mind's eye. The song was not written about Katrina, it was written before it even happened, as far as I understand. But it is uncanny how it speaks to the disaster.
