Daniel Boone’s homecoming contest was the words of a Pat Benatar song come to life: Heartbreaker. After twice thinking they had the game won at the end of regulation, the Trailblazers went on to lose a 24-17 overtime contest to Morristown West at Nathan Hale Stadium/Ken Green Field Friday night.

An eclectic assortment of artists from Long Island were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame at a star-studded Gala at the Garden City Hotel Thursday night. The diverse group included LL Cool J, Marvin Hamlisch, Blue öyster Cult, Jean Ritchie, Public Enemy, The Tokens, and The Ramones.
