La escena musical de Liverpool a fines de los 70's representaba un excitante y dinámico lugar donde se podía triunfar . Todo el mundo integraba una banda, tenía incluso la libertad de optar entre una u otra, o lisa y llanamente estaba formando un grupo. En medio de toda esta actividad se encontraba Eric's Club, un espacio pequeño y discreto que promovió a varios exponentes como The Teardrop Explodes, Echo & the Bunnymen y Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Este era el panorama que reinaba en ese local, cuando Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark debutaron en 1978. |

Hailed by millions as one of the best “live” rock’n’roll bands in the world, Simple Minds are pleased to announce the UK leg of their forthcoming “Graffiti Soul” World Tour. The UK concerts will take in eight dates, and will dovetail the highly anticipated release of Simple Minds’ 15th studio album “Graffiti Soul”, released on May 25th.
Scottish Rock band Simple Minds are to appear at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s (AECC’S) Press & Journal Arena on Saturday 12th December 2009.
Simple Minds will be performing songs from their new album ‘Graffiti Soul’ as well as their classics hits with support from very special guests OMD.
Over the years Simple Minds have notched up twenty Top 20 hits in a career spanning nearly three decades, the best known being the number one worldwide hit single "Don't You (Forget About Me)", from the soundtrack of the John Hughes movie The Breakfast Club. The band have sold over 35 million records, had five number one albums, a No. 1 single in America - plus three American top ten singles and were voted Q magazine’s World’s Best Live Act. The band's newest studio album "Graffiti Soul" was released on May 25th 2009.
