Dont look back in anger transcends all other oasis songs ever made in melody lyrics and soul. the song sails you to a quiet and serene place in your mind where the music shrouds your brain in a blanket of complacency.after hearing this song one ceases to be preoccupied with h trivialities and miniscule problems of life. aaaaaaaah.

Imagine a soulfull kiss. Imagine the grief of deep loss and crying... Now put the two together. Each note builds a phrase builds a verse builds a song. And we never want it to end. Layers of guitars. Short elegant solos. Lines and counter lines. A beautiful woven fabric. A swirl of color. A lament of lost love. These things are "Don't Look Back in Anger." Whether or not Noel had any serious meaning behind his lyrics, I do not know. I would tend to think he did. But that doesn't matter. Art calls us to bring out our inner meaning. We will never see through the eyes of another. We each decide our own meaning and purpose. "Don't Look Back in Anger" is, for me, a work of art. Textured, flowing, and alive. It is simply the most beautiful song ever written.

Possibly the best of all the Oasis singles out there. Step out is in my opinon one of the best examples of what Oasis are all about. The other four tracks are very good too. (A cover of Quiet Riot's "Cum on Feel The Noize"... Doesn't get much better.)

This song is an absolute masterpiece. From the Lennonesque piano intro, to Noel Gallaghers brilliant vocals and superb guitar playing, this song is pure brilliance throughout.

DLBIA is a classic song with a driving melody. The intro is an obvious lift of John Lennon's "Imagine", and Oasis make no secret as to the Beatle's influence on their own musical stylings (mostly Noel's since he is the lone contributor on most songs). When the vocals kick in, you can't help but be hooked. BUY THE IMPORT CD IF YOU CAN!!! Oasis' version of the classic Quiet Riot song "Cum on Feel the Noize" is a great track, as is the upbeat "Step Out". Noel plays an amazing guitar rift at the beginning of SO, and it underlies the entire song. Absolutely one of my favorite (lesser heard) Oasis B-sides. IF YOU LOVE OASIS, THE IMORT CD OF "DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER" IS A MUST HAVE!!!
