Seit 1995 stehen die Brüder Mike und Chad Kroeger (Sänger und Gitarrist) im Rampenlicht. Die beiden ersten Alben, „Hesher" und „Curb", brachten ihnen regionale Aufmerksamkeit. Der internationale Durchbruch im großen Stil gelang Nickelback mit der dritten CD „Silver Side Up" und den Singles „How You Remind Me" und „Too Bad". Mit ihrem sechsten Album „All The Right Reasons" etablierten sie sich endgültig als eine der größten Attraktionen der Rockszene.
