News Ticker: Richie Sambora, Bright Eyes, AC/DC, Fergie

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora was officially charged with two counts of DUI stemming from a March 25 arrest. Sambora avoided a child endangerment charge, as his ten-year-old daughter was in the car when he was pulled over. Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst will release a new album under his own name on August 5th. Conor Oberst will be the Rolling Stone’s Best Songwriter’s first collection of songs released under his own name since 1996. AC/DC have completed recording their new, Brendan O’Brien-produced CD in Vancouver and are now in the mixing and artwork stages, says singer Brian Johnson. The band hopes to unleash the new record later this year. The reissue of Fergie’s The Duchess will feature a track (and video) with Nelly called “Party People,” as well as the theme from the upcoming Sex and the City movie “Labels or Love.” [Photo: Getty]
