Nelly Furtado's daughter misses out on mom's big "Day"

March 21 was declared "Nelly Furtado Day" in her hometown of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, but some very important people in her life weren't present for the ceremony. Nelly's parents were home baby-sitting her daughter Nevis, 3 1/2, because the singer believed the event would've been too much for her little girl.  I protect her from a lot of things.
