As a long time Motorhead fan, I can tell you that this album is more than worth your time and money. The boys really out did themselves on this latest effort.

Though you are able to hear their signature sound they have thrown us some curves. Lemmy shows off his truly poetic self in the track entitled `Serial Killer'. This track is sinister poetry at its best and brings the imagery of all the serial killers past, present and future to the forefront of the mind.

Another one of my favorites is `The Game' which is a bonus track on the CD, which throws out electrifying riffs.

True to Motorhead fashion, there is one war song (or should I say anti-war song) on the CD `Voices From the War', which is lyrically wonderful.

`No Remorse' comes on like a strong and heavy and holds that intensity throughout the track.

There isn't one track on this album that I could not listen too over and over. It has been two years since the release of any original material and it was worth the wait. The only disappointment was my hope of them releasing `Orgasmatron 2000' on this CD as a bonus track, but they opted for a live version of `Overnight Sensation', that was recorded somewhere in Europe in 2000.

I think the boys are getting better every time. I can't wait to see what the next CD will bring.

this is a very special album that reminds me most of Motorhead's first album. it is not as fast as many expect, but it churns out more power than the hoover dam. i don't really want to write a review, i just want to offset the one star vote by some fool who can't tell a classic when he hears it. this should have been another grammy nomination for the band because it is heavier than any other disc on the shelves today.

I love Motorhead. One of my favorite songs on this cd is The Game. The Game is Triple H's theme for the WWF and it is the coolest.

Upon first listening to Hammered, it doesnt quite measure up to their previous release "We are Motorhead". (But realistically, topping that would have been a tall order indeed.) This album does offer more diversity than WAM, utilizing different guitar tones on some traks, and even using (gasp!) harmonized vocals on track #1. I would have liked a few more uptempo tracks. WAM, was on a whole, faster and more aggressive. But that doesnt mean there arent any gems here. Tracks like Brave New World, Voices from the War, Dr. Love, and the brutal Raw Red, are soon-to-be classics. And the WWF song, "The Game" is a killer, not just a novelty, throw-away track. Lemmy's creepy, gruff vocals deliver an almost insane quality to this track. In the same way his vocals work on the classic song "Orgasmastron". Only here, he sounds more animated, like someone you would not want to mess with. Overall a solid effort, worthy of the band. I would just like next time to hear a little more of that double-bass speed.

On another note: If you have never seen Motorhead live, what are you waiting for? (I hear Lemmy turns 57 this Dec.)

Like clockwork these guys have delivered another solid set of Rock 'N' Roll. Lemmy is truly a seriously under appreciated lyricist and songwriter. Help em out and buy this disc. Long live Motorhead!
